Calling Karma is a female-fronted pop/metal band from Timrå, in Sweden’s Västernorrland region — five musicians who share more than a stage. What started in late 2020 as a project between family members has grown into one of the region’s most talked-about rock exports: a band that pairs heavy, riff-driven guitars with soaring, radio-ready choruses and lyrics that dig into real life — personal struggle, injustice, and the fight to overcome both.

Fronted by Stina Hammarström’s powerful, emotionally direct vocals, Calling Karma writes songs that move fluidly between vulnerability and force. That range has built them a devoted local following that’s spilled into the national scene: their tribute anthem ”Sida vid Sida,” written for hometown ice hockey club Timrå IK, became a fan favorite on and off the ice, while 2025 single ”Paradise” has become their biggest streaming success to date, passing 100,000 plays.

With new single ”Awakening” (2026) and more music on the way, Calling Karma is stepping into its most ambitious chapter yet.
